![]() Now, just because you’ve decided whether to trash it or stash it - the next step is to price it. Someone may want these, but there are plenty of sellers and very few buyers (Ethereal Edge, Naj’s Circlet) Either very common drops, outclassed by other items, or just plain junk. No Demand / No Value = This is the category for items you can safely trash. Low Demand / Low Value = Used by one build but may still be BiS (Best In Slot) or used as budget options for more builds but is a common drop (Magefist, Jalal’s Mane) High Demand / Mid Value = Used by multiple builds but common enough that they usually trade for mid runes (Raven Frost, Gheed’s Fortune) High Demand / High Value = Multiple builds use these items, they can be worth High Runes, or they are instantly tradeable (Griffon’s Eye, Hellfire Torch) More importantly, I’m going through every unique and set item in the game so you can search this list and judge if that item you just found is worth stashing or if it’s safe to trash it Item Categories in D2R: ![]() This guide will focus on unique and set items and answer that question we’ve all had: Is this worth keeping? The answer is not always simple, but I hope after reading this guide you will have a better grasp on these values. Hello all and welcome to my guide about what gear is worth keeping in all of D2R. Trash It Or Stash It: Nokk’s Guide on What to Keep Trash It Or Stash It: Nokk’s Guide on What to Keep. ![]() Armor has no recover time as it's basically a chance to evade. That's 2.5x faster recover from holy shield vs 48% FHR. Where as if you get hit and have 48% faster hit recovery, your recover speed is 5 frames or. Holy shields block recovery speed is 2 frames, or. I don't think I would ever play a paladin without having 75% block. You can find that stat on various other items as well, like Guardian Angel, Steel shade, lot's of shields etc. Stormshield has +25% Increased Chance to Block, which greatly reduces the amount of dex required to hit the 75% block cap. Shields have different chances to block depending on your class, the type of shield and the shields mods. Taking less damage means you have less life to recover with leech and potions, and can recover it more quickly and easily. Avoiding damage is generally better than increasing your life pool as well, so long as you are not being killed in one to two hits. Combined with 75% block and you are getting hit 5% of the time, this is effectively the same as going from 1000 life, to 20,000 life. Armor works in a similar way, with 15,000 armor you can achieve ~25% chance to get hit by most monsters. And you have more time to recover lost life between hits. 0 block vs 75 block = you take 25% of hits instead of 100%, effectively 4x the estimated hit points. When you level up, you need to add more dex to maintain 75%, generally 2-3 points a level.Īlso block is an incredibly OP defensive mechanic. Generally, when respeccing, you turn on holy shield then add points into dex and hover over the defense stat to check the % and stop at 75%. The stat block chance, or increased chanced to block on items and holy shield simply reduces the amount of dexterity required to reach the 75% block cap. In d2 block is gained by adding points into dex, you can hover over your defense in your character screen to see your chance to block. I don't know, I just feel like I get my butt handed to me by every single special monster in the beginning act 1 areas in hell, any idea what I should do?įarm Mephisto/Baal in Nightmare til I get better gear maybe? What would you guys recommend? My skill setup is a very basic one, I activate holy shield and then have Fanaticism active and fight with Zeal. I'm using Hexfire as a weapon bc it's the highest dps weapon I found in nightmare, I use Lore helmet, I made a Spirit shield out of a high-resistances rolled Heraldic shield, I use Spirit Shroud as my body armour for 'cannot be frozen', jewelry and gloves/boots are mainly resistances, attack speed, hit recovery, stuff like that. To be fair, my resistances aren't good since I just got the penalty from switching to hell difficulty, but I feel like hell difficulty wasn't THAT hard in D2 LoD, or was it? Now I got to hell and the very first named monster with an aura one-shot my merc and 2 shot me. Sry for the newb question, but I just finished my nightmare playthrough with my Zeal paladin and it was an absolute cakewalk, I rarely had to even use a health potion.
